The meaning of AU

'Au' in te ao Māori describes the various movements of water. These include tides, currents, waves, and the ocean. In special occasions of Māori oratory, 'au' is often referred to articulate how currents and tides guide people on important and valuable journeys of discovery.

AU is a current carrying a waka to it’s destination

AU is a guide on your journey of learning. AU is a teacher to help navigate a path of learning. AU is a kaitiaki, a guardian. Ko te au e kawea te waka.

About AU in 5 easy questions

  • Founded during Covid, we kept hearing from businesses that they wanted to apply a new way of thinking to their learning. They wanted a learning solution that included an indigenous lens where diversity and inclusion were at the core of the learning journey.

So, we combined our skills, fused the two together and AU was created!

  • Our whānau are made up of subject matter experts within Learning + Development, Training + Facilitating, Cultural Development and Organisational culture change.

We have years of experience in strategy and operations working within some of the most recognisable corporates in Aotearoa and Australia.

Together we are supported by a strong Global Advisory team.

  • Our difference is in our content. At Au we embed culture into the flow of learning, no matter what the subject matter is!

We use indigenous values to help organisations move forward. The impactful models that exist in the indigenous world need to be just as visible as the traditional frameworks many organisations use today.

  • Definitely scalability!

Even our own people work remotely throughout Aotearoa, Australia and USA. We thought let’s create a model that’s fit for purpose and suits today’s remote workforce.

  • Our commitment to providing Innovative Learning Solutions with a Human-Centric Approach. This unique combination sets AU apart by offering cutting-edge learning solutions while maintaining a focus on the individual and organisational development. We focus our offering on excellence and authenticity.
